If you’ve decided you need to talk to someone about your feelings, there’s just a couple of steps to get you on the list for one of our counsellors.






Make a request for counselling
To access our counselling support, we first need to check a few details, such as your age and where you live. You'll then have access to our 'Online Request for Counselling' form.
To access our free counselling service you can use the buttons below to either contact us or use our Infobot called Alex.
If you feel unsure about contacting us you can ask someone you trust to do this for you.
About Counselling
We understand that different ways of speaking to a counsellor work for different people. That’s why we try and provide a variety of options to make counselling accessible to everyone. To find out more about counselling follow the link below.
If you need urgent help
Let's Talk Well is not a crisis service. If you or a child/young person is unsafe or if you feel unable to keep yourself safe, please do not delay getting the help you need by contacting the most relevant service:
- In an emergency call 999 and ask for help
- Contact the Police if a crime has been committed by ringing 101
- Go to the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department
- Phone NHS Direct by ringing 111 (24-hours)
- Talk to your Doctor or GP
- Samaritans: National Freephone: 116123 (24-hours)
What happens when you request counselling support?
Once you've completed your 'Online Request for Counselling' form:
You will join our waiting list
You can find details of resources and services to help you while you're waiting for counselling support below.
A Counsellor will contact you
Your counsellor will text you to arrange a time to meet up.
Your first session
When you see your counsellor you will have the chance to talk through your worries and concerns with them.
Next steps
You and your counsellor will chat through options and decide the best type of support for you.
