Face to Face Peripatetic Counsellor

At Let’s Talk Well, we reach hundreds of children and young people every year as well as offering support and advice to parents/carers and training for professionals. We work to ensure that every young person has easy, prompt, independent access to appropriate support according to their needs.
We are looking for Face to Face Peripatetic Counsellors to join our dedicated and supportive team, working with children and young people across Gloucestershire.
As a Let’s Talk Well Counsellor you will provide vital support to young people who are facing personal problems, worries and difficulties which impact on them emotionally, physically and/or socially.
We have opportunities in multiple locations including the North Cotswolds, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury and Stroud areas.

Place of Work: North Cotswolds, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury or Stroud. You may also be required to attend Let’s Talk Well meetings and training related to the post at various locations across Gloucestershire as required. You will not be required to work outside the UK.
Terms: Permanent subject to a satisfactory 6-month probation period and funding.
Post: 22.5 hours per week mainly during term time.
Rate of Pay: Starting at Grade B - £30,556.50 per annum for full-time employees. Pro rata for part-time employees.
Rising to Grade B - £33,052.50 per annum on completion of 1 year and 150 counselling hours. Pro rata for part-time employees.
Further progression to Grade C - £35,412.00 to £37,752.00 dependent on qualifying criteria including 2 years’ experience and 550 counselling hours with children and young people. Pro rata for part time employees.
